It’s very common for friends and family take a bite of something I've cooked and immediately ask, "What did you do to make this taste so good?" It happens almost every time, especially with proteins, and I'm about to let you in on my little secret.

And no, I'm not doing anything fancy here. No overnight marinades, no complex brining processes, no crazy chef-y stuff. Just good old salt and pepper, plus a two-ingredient trick that transforms ordinary proteins into something that'll make people think you've been secretly training at a culinary school (okay, maybe not that extreme, but it will definitely make their mouth water).
